Gaming company Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. aims to hire 200 new employees to staff its St. Louis-area casinos, the company announced this week.

Pinnacle is planning an Aug. 19 job fair to recruit for its Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles and River City Casino & Hotel in St. Louis. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Doubletree in Westport, at 1973 Craigshire Road.

Pinnacle, based in Las Vegas, is looking to fill both full-time and part-time positions in casino operations, finance, food and beverage, hotel operations, security, warehouse and purchasing at the casinos.

Pinnacle’s 130,000-square-foot Ameristar Casino has 2,507 slot machines and video lottery terminals, 77 table games and a hotel with 397 rooms. The 90,000-square-foot River City casino has 2,011 slots, 61 table games and 200 hotel rooms. The company’s 99-year lease on the 56 acres housing River City comes with annual rent of $4 million or 2.5 percent of gross sales, whichever is larger. (Pinnacle owns its St. Charles locations.)

Pinnacle’s Midwest Segment, which includes the two St. Louis-area casinos, made revenue of $1.2 billion in 2014, up from $650.1 million in 2013, according to the company’s annual report.

Pinnacle St. Louis was listed as a “Best Place to Work” by the Business Journal this year.
